Triglycerides (TG) are a type of fat found in the blood.

A triglycerides test measures the level of these fats in your bloodstream.

High triglyceride levels can increase the risk of heart disease.

Normal levels are typically below 150 mg/dL.

Fasting for 9-12 hours before the test is usually recommended.
